Block House in Olivet, MI is looking for one kitchen manager to join our team.
We are located at 714 S Main St.
Our ideal candidate is dependable, has inventory and kitchen organization, and can positively lead a team.
This location will be opening at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024.
Responsibilities - Oversee prep and organization of ingredients for menu items - Cooperate with the chef for menu changes and quality control - Execute weekend brunch and/or dinner services - Uphold standards of kitchen cleanliness and consistency of dishes - Maintain accurate food inventories - Keep food cost below allotted dollar amount/percentage each week - Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures - Rotate stock items as per established procedures - Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts - Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized for the entirety of each shift - Flourish in the rush of a busy night - Appreciate the importance of good prep, cleanliness and organization - Passion for creative cooking and delighting customers with your food - Build strong relationships with Back of House team members - Maintains positive and clear communication between Back of House and Front of House team members to cultivate smooth workflows - Create daily food specials that align with the Block House brand Qualifications - 2 or more years of restaurant experience - Able to work with all people and keep conflict at a minimum - 1 year of management experience preferred - Certificates in the Culinary Arts are a plus - Good Communicator - Team Player - Hard Working We are looking forward to recieving your application.
